David Lee Balmer, 38, of Roanoke Rapids, died Monday February 25, 2019, at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Fahey Balmer of Roanoke Rapids; sons Jason Anthony Balmer and Kaiden Patrick-Lee Balmer, of the home; daughters Emma Alyse Balmer and Julia Elizabeth-Brooke Balmer, of the home; step-daughter Gabrielle Rooker of Roanoke Rapids; father Wilson Lee Balmer of Pinetops, NC; mother Susan E. Carlisle and husband Rudy of Halifax, NC; twin brother Dwayne Louis Balmer of Roanoke Rapids; sister Jennifer B. Millaway (Jon Michael) of Winterville, NC; maternal grandparents Virginia Cribb and Louis “Frog” Ellis of Roanoke Rapids; mother and father-in-law Mike and Angelia Fahey of Roanoke Rapids; brother-in-law Michael Fahey, Sr. of Roanoke Rapids; nieces and nephews Michael Fahey, Jr., Joseph Fahey, Mason Fahey, Natalie Fahey, Codie Parrish, Caitlin Parrish, Savannah Nicholson, Morgan Bishop, Vivian Griffin, Anthony Balmer; special “brother” Billy Balmer; and special family friends Antonio Hightower, Debra Grady, Ashley Deaton, and Rhianna Bryant.

The funeral service for David will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 in the Hockaday Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
