Daisy Insco Allen Cullom, 100 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 in ECU Health North.  

Ms. Cullom was born in Halifax, the daughter of one of 10 children of the late Hattie Morris and Junius Jerell Insco; Daisy being the last living of her siblings.  

She was the widow of the late Percy Lee Allen and the late James Cullom. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Mike Sheppard.

Ms. Cullom worked in the Roanoke Rapids Cotton Mill starting at the age of 15 while attending Roanoke Rapids High School until graduation.  

She was a long-time member of South Rosemary United Methodist Church, she was radio dispatcher for the Halifax County Sheriff's Department and Roanoke Rapids City Police.  

She was also employed with Hockaday Funeral Home and an avid 500 Rummy Player that she took very seriously. 

Surviving include her two daughters:  Judy Reustle (Chuck) of Myrtle Beach and Kathy DeBerry (Larry) of Roanoke Rapids; her son Al Allen of Salt Lake City, UT; her sister-in-law Dorothy A. Waters, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; many special nieces, nephews, and many friends young and old.

Funeral Services will be held at 2;00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastors Sue Owens and Randy Martin officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Love-Allen Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral beginning at 1:00 PM.  

Memorial Contributions may be made to Halifax County Hospice or to South Rosemary United Methodist Church.
