Charles Linwood “Lin” Walker, 71, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Lin was born February 18, 1951, in Halifax County to Charles Evans Walker and Dorothy Allen Walker Waters. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Evans Walker; his stepfather, Donald Waters.

Lin attended William R. Davie High School, retired from Pepsi Cola. Lin served his country in the United States Air Force.

Lin is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Elizabeth Gail Landen Walker; his mother, Dorothy Allen Waters; his son, Robin Walker and wife Deborah; his stepson, Kevin Wrenn and his wife Jennifer; his daughter, April Walker King; his step daughter, Stephanie Floyd and Bobby Clary; his brother, Tony Walker, his sister-in-law Christine Ingersoll Walker, all of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren, Joshua Denton and his wife Audrey, Montana King and Justin Luce, Amanda Wrenn, Hayle and Lex Martin, Sydney Wrenn, Kameron Floyd, Ashton Floyd, Kinslee Floyd and Jase Clary; his great grandchildren, Lailynn Luce, Presley Wrenn, Lelaina Martin and Mallory Martin. 

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. The United States Air Force Honor Guard will perform Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
