Doris Ann Ford Collins, 82, of Roanoke Rapids passed away December 10, 2020 at Vidant North Hospital.

Doris was born February 11, 1938 in Nash County to the late George Ernest Ford and Edna Sexton Ford. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Ford; and her granddaughters, Ariel Parrish and Rebecca Ann Collins.

Doris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. 

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris attended all the ball games that she could. She graduated from West Edgecombe High School in 1956.

Doris is survived by her children, Benjamin Wright Collins, Jr. and his wife Pam, Sheila Carol Collins and George Fredrick Collins and his wife Elizabeth all of Roanoke Rapids; her brother, Albert Ford and his wife Erma of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, William

Collins, Mathew Collins, Sr., Kristin Collins, Keeley Parrish, Ashley Bellamy and Jordan Dean Collins; her great-grandchildren, Scotty Warren, Amelia Collins, Aliyah Collins, Kaley Collins and Mathew Collins, Jr.

A memorial service to celebrate Doris’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev Andy Sloan and Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
