Lloyd Francis Pepper, 93, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at Liberty Commons.

Francis was born in Halifax County to the late Bernard William Pepper and Maggie Shaw Pepper. Francis was also preceded in death by his wives, Erma Edwards Pepper and Irma Barham Pepper; his brothers and sisters, Lillie Andleton, Reginald Pepper, Clarice Shaw, Dorothy Green and Joe Pepper.

Francis was a lifelong member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He was a life member of The Studebaker Club. Francis loved J.P. Stevens, Hockaday Funeral Home, where he worked for over fifty years and Studebakers.

Francis is survived by his step-children, Paige Gay, Gary Harris and his wife Barbara, Trudy Jones and Tim Harris and his wife Linda; eleven step-grandchildren; eighteen step-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; his special caregivers, Paige Gay and Linda Warren. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Liberty Commons.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2020 at New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
