Clifton Ray Garner, 90, of Roanoke Rapids passed away peacefully Saturday, August 22, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.

Cliff was born February 23, 1930 to the late Clifton W. Garner and Burla Warren Garner.

Cliff was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Cliff was a supervisor at JP Stevens/Bibb Co for over 20 years. He was co owner of Little University Preschool for over 25 years. Cliff loved woodworking and yard work. He also loved going to church and serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Cliff is survived by his wife Chris; his children, Stephen Ray Garner and his wife Susan of Roanoke Rapids and Tiffany Garner Shellenberger and her husband Stephen of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Bonnie Garner Medlin and her husband Josh and Shawn Garner and his wife Chelsea; his great-grandchildren, Letty Garner, Darci Medlin and Lukas Medlin; his brothers, Jimmy Garner and his wife Peggy and Wilbur Garner both of Roanoke Rapids; his sister, Polly Hastings of Charlotte and Margie Nethercutt and her husband Pete of Roanoke Rapids and his fur babies Brie Garner and his grand dog Dela Shellenberger.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating.
