Shirley Gray Miller, 93, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in Vidant North Hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born on April 10, 1927, in Emporia, VA.  

She was a daughter of John Roy Gray and Francis Virginia Irby Gray.  

Her parents; husband, Jarman “Doc” Miller; and a son, Dennis Stainback, all preceded her in death.

She was educated in the Greensville County Schools in Emporia.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and loving mother.

Survivors include her sons, Tech.Sgt. (Ret) Terry Stainback and wife, Becky, of Roanoke Rapids, Steven “Huck” Harrell of South Boston, VA; her daughter, Sherrie Bailey, of Roanoke Rapids;  two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and loving caretaker, Frances McNair.

The service for Mrs. Miller will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 21, 2020 from the graveside at Cedarwood Cemetery. Pastor Randy Martin will preside.
