Harold David Liles, 81,  of Littleton died June 6, 2020 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Harold D. was born in Halifax County on July 5, 1938, to John R. Liles, Jr and Ruby Tharrington Liles.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John R. Liles, III, James S. Liles, and Charles Liles; and by a sister, Ruby Victoria Lancaster.

He is survived by a son, Marty Liles of Kinston; a sister, Sue Liles Duke; and a brother, Eddie Liles.

Harold D. was a lifelong resident of the Aurelian Springs area.  He farmed, something he loved doing his entire life. Harold D. also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 -  8:00 pm on Tuesday evening at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday from the graveside at Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pastor Cara Thompson will preside.   All are welcome to attend, being mindful that social distancing is still in effect.
