Julia Parrish Norris, 81, of Halifax passed away Friday, March 20, 2020.

Julia was born June 5, 1938, in Warren County to the late Johnny and Elva Lancaster Parrish. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raeford C. Norris; her sister, Rebie Smith; her brother, Albert Parrish; her step-son, Danny Norris.

Julia was a member of Chockoyotte Baptist Church. She had a special love for her family. She loved her church and going to the gym. She was a seamstress at several factories for many years.

She is survived by her children, Barry Norris and his wife Charlene of Roanoke Rapids, Brenda Sanders of Moseley, VA; her siblings Faye Hostetter, Gloria McLaughlin and James W. Parrish; her grandchildren, Lauren Welsh and her husband George, Amber Cain and her husband Tim, Taylor Shell and her husband Caleb and Matthew Sanders; her great-grandchildren, Emilee Moseley and Allie Stettler; her step-children, Becky McGee and Ricky Norris; her step-grandchildren, Alfred Coats, Sasha Beasley, Angela Coats and Austin Norris; her special friend, Betty Staton and many special nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Henry Stephens and Rev. Tony Smith officiating.
