Helen Simpson White, 79, of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, December 7, 2019.

12919hfs

Helen was strong and centered in her testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

It touched every aspect of her life, and she was passionate about her beliefs, sharing them with both family and strangers alike.

She had a deep love for the Primary children and cared immensely for each individual child. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and loved raising her voice in church hymns, Primary songs, and for 17 years with the Lakeland Singers.

She lived a Christ-centered life that set an eminent example for those around her.

She found joy in her family and spending time with them.

She never failed at putting loved ones before herself, and always made sure that everyone was cared for.

She loved gathering people at her home and making valuable memories with those she loved. She enjoyed tending to her yard and her home was always a welcoming place to be.

She will be remembered for her selflessness and her kind, loving heart.

Survivors include her son, David White, Jr. (Kim); daughters, Joan Jordan (Tony), Anne Lynch (Mike), Mary Kay Moore (Jeff), Nancy Height (Steve); grandchildren, Ashly White, Tyler Hart-White (Jordan), Kelsey Clay (Chris), Wesley Height, Kaylen Jordan, Courtney Lynch, Michael Lynch, Abigail Moore, Kelly Moore, Spencer Moore; great-grandchildren, Jace Clay, Nate Clay, Everleigh Jordan; brother, Louis R.
