Lawrence Van Skipper, 75, of Dickens Store Road in Littleton, died in his home on Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Mr. Skipper was born in New Hanover County on June 14, 1944, a son of Martin Van Skipper, Jr. and Katherine Lucille Watson Skipper, both of whom preceded him in death.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Lou Eakes Skipper.

Mr. Skipper enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and building things.  

He  retired from International Paper, where he worked as a foreman.  

He was a member of New Testament Christian Church.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Van and Michelle S. Skipper; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry S. and Chris Davis; and grandchildren, Christopher Van Skipper, Joshua Pulley and Hunter Davis.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at New Testament Christian Church.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
