Kenneth “Fuzzy” Lee Conner, 71, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his home.
Mr. Conner was born in Halifax County on November 1, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his mother Elma E. Clark, his son Christopher L. Conner, his brother Clifton R. Clark, his brother-in-law Jerry Casey, and two long time friends Freddy McKathy and Carol Beckelman.

Surviving include his wife Sherry L. Conner, his son Steven R. Conner, his daughter Melissa Killette (David), his stepdaughters Melissa Wheeler and Shannon Arnold (Wink), his stepson Kevin Wheeler, his siblings: Barbara Byrum, Cathy Livesay (Steve), and Cynthia Casey, his granddaughters Chelsea Harris and Michaela Williams, his grandsons Kameron Conner and Blake Wheeler, his grandson, whom he raised and treated as his own Dylan Edmondson, and a very special friend Bubba Inscoe.
Fuzzy was an avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of Community Hunting Club prior to a stroke in 2018.
He worked as an electrician with most of his years being at Williams and Lamm. He was a jack of all trades.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
