Wilburt Carlton Conner, 90 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away peacefully at ECU-North Hospital on Thursday March 13, 2025. 

Wilburt was born on January 27, 1935, in Halifax County. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Velma Conner, brothers Edward Conner and Peter Conner and sister Hazel Fanney.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Loretta, his sons Wilbert Conner Jr., Michael Conner, Dale Conner (Donna Hester), Christopher Conner (Fran), grandchildren Jennifer, Sarah, Kelly, Quentin, Jordan, Camren, Chole, Jody and Melissa, 13 great grandchildren and sister Katherine Carson (Richard).

Wilburt loved to work in his garden and hunt rabbits and deer.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service. 

The family will have a private memorial service later.
