Brenda Kay Rowell Blanton, 75, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at ECU Health North.

Brenda was born May 23, 1949, in Halifax County to the late John Rowell and Margaret Virginia Wallace Rowell. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband Donnie Ray Blanton, Sr.

Brenda loved her church, her son, her family and people.

Brenda is survived by her son, Donnie Ray Blanton, Jr.; her sister, Pat Kutulas; her niece and nephew, Kayla McClary and Jonathan Chappell; her great nieces and Nephews, Marcus and Lily Chappell, Wesley and Wyatt McClary.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
