Donald Wayne DiAngelo, 75, died peacefully on March 18, 2024 at home with his family by his side.
He was born on June 17, 1948 in Harrison, New York to the late Joseph G. DiAngelo and Helen Price DiAngelo.
He was a lifelong resident of Roanoke Rapids and graduated from William R. Davie High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War on the USS Dennis J. Buckley.
Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He spent many relaxing hours hunting and fishing with his buddies.
He had a love for his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Joan Eaton DiAngelo; his two daughters, Donna Wheeler and her friend, Mark of Little Texas, Virginia and Sherry Dailey of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and a special son-in-law, Langra Dailey, III of Roanoke Rapids, NC; four grandchildren, Meagan Biggs, Brody Wheeler, Jayden and Madison Dailey and one great-grandson, Trevor Cornwall; his brother, David Mark DiAngelo and his wife, Tammy and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Minister Daniel West and Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
