Kevin Wayne Harris, 47 years old and a former Roanoke Rapids native, passed away on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 at home in Leland, NC.

Kevin was born on July 31st, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia and was preceded in death by his father, Willie Thomas Harris, and his step-father, Randy Lee Taylor.

Kevin loved the outdoors, spending much of his free time hunting and fishing. He was also an avid lover of racing and riding motorcycles. He lived life to the fullest, loved his family dearly, and is described by many as a “big teddy bear with a soft, gentle heart.”

Kevin is survived by his children Kasen, Corey, Camden, and Harley; his mother Pam Taylor (William Dickens); his brothers & sisters, James “Bubba” Harris, Terry Lee Harris (Carol Dee Bohanon), and Andy Taylor (Leigh), Candy, and Grace; his grandmother, Margaret Etheridge Davis; his girlfriend Brandi Bozeman; his nieces & nephews, Ryleigh, Jessalyn, Alleigh Grace, Abby, Serenity, Jacob, Jackson, Landyn, Gary, Christian, & Caleb; his aunts & uncles, Larry and Carolyn Pike, Julia and Pete Warren, Lee and Lorraine Gregory, James and Ann Mariah Warren, Wanda and Popeye Worrock, Gary and Sherrie Warren, Anne Taylor Smithwick, and Diane Harris.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Wayne Marshall officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
