Rose Marie “Densie” Dickens Morales, 81, died Monday, December 31, 2018, at the home of her daughter, in Chesterfield, VA.

Rose was born in Castalia, North Carolina, daughter of the late Henry Dickens and Rosa Anna Pullen Griffin. She was a beautician for many years, then a retired nurse, having worked for over 35 years at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. She loved all her family and was a devoted daughter, sister,aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also loved reading, gardening and especially loved working with her flowers. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Edward Dickens, sister-in-law - Margaret Dickens and friend/former husband Miguel “Mike” Morales.

Surviving are her daughters, Carmen Morales Martin (Dennis), of Chesterfield, VA and Rosa Maria Morales of Prince George, VA; brother, William Dickens of Roanoke Rapids; granddaughter, Tanya Marie Lucero (Ian); four great grandchildren, Joey Long, Chase Lucero, Dane Lucero and Ava Lucero; nieces April Rozier (Ben), Mary Ann Yates (Mike), Carolyn Dickens, Barbara Byrum, Nancy Dickens, Betty Jean Rera (Johnny), Sherry Ann Avila (Jose), Diane Medina; and nephews, Edward Earl Dickens (Linda), Josesph Edward “Rudy” Dickens, Jr. and Paul Dickens (Roxanne), Eddie Dickens, Jr.; great nephew, Tyler Rozier, close family friend, Pam Taylor, as well as her Rodriguez, Burgos and Morales family in Puerto Rico, Florida, Connecticut and Peru.

Rev. Wayne Marshall will conduct a graveside service Friday, January 18, 2019, at Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC at 1:00 pm.
