James Claude Blasingame, III “Trey,” 35 of Yorktown, VA went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2020 at Riverside Regional Hospital in Newport News.

Trey was born in Halifax County in 1984 and was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dot and Jim Blasingame and maternal grandfather George (Puddin) Jean.

He was a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. Trey was a gentle soul who loved life, always had a smile, and never met a stranger.

Trey is survived by his parents, James (Jimbo) and Wendy Jean Blasingame, of Yorktown, VA; his brother, Mark Blasingame of Yorktown, VA; his sister, Alison Blasingame of Blacksburg, VA; his maternal grandmother, Betty Jean of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his uncle George Jean and his wife Karen of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Mike Jean and his wife Tammy of Halifax, NC and Randy Jean of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his aunt June Beers and her husband Steve of Newman, GA and his many cousins.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11 am in Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services on Friday at 10 am at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services at 731 Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
