Mae Reese Tripp 87, of Halifax died Sunday March 11, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Tripp a native of Halifax County was the daughter of the late James Cornelius and Maggie Bryant Reese. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Franklin Tripp and was a life long Member of Quankie Baptist Church.

Mrs. Tripp is survived by her two sons Ronnie Tripp and his wife Jean and Danny Tripp and his wife Cindy both of Halifax; two sisters Rachel Harlow and Jeanette Clary both of Roanoke Rapids; two brothers Herbert Reese and his wife Mollie and J.W. Reese and his wife Margie both of Roanoke Rapids; five grand daughters Sarah Krepp, Mary Vance, Laura Tripp, Kaitlyn Tripp and Allison Tripp and four great grandchildren Abigail Vance, Lydia Vance, Cassie Krepp and Benjamin Krepp.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 2 P.M. at Quankie Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Howell and Rev. Jerry Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends Monday March 12, 2012 from 7-8:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Rapids.
