Hyacinth Joyner Braswell 81, of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday March 8, 2012 at Kindred Health Care in Roanoke Rapids.

Mrs. Braswell a native of Nash County was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Myrtle Williams Joyner. She was retired from the Department of Social Services and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Braswell is survived by her husband Warren Cecil Braswell; her daughter Angela B. Wells and her husband Jerry of Weldon; two sons Sherrill Braswell and his wife Jane of Nashville and Randy Braswell and his wife Peggy of Mouth of Wilson, Va.; three sisters Joyce Vick and her husband Oliver of Nashville; Daylon Boseman and her husband Bobby of Greenville and Ronace Bone of Roanoke Rapids; one brother Raymond F. Joyner, Jr. of Long Island, NY. Seven grand children Blake Braswell and his wife Cara of Orlando, Fl; Pattie Keller and her husband Ron of Orlando,Fl; Randi Jo Braswell of Boone; Matthew Braswell of Nashville; Travis Wells and his Fiance Cari Ann Roten of Cary; Jason Wells and his wife Jessica of Winterville and Jeremy Wells of Richmond, Va.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 3 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. John Alford officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-8:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids and other times at her daughters home 52 Longstreet Rd Weldon, NC.
