A Hollister woman with a pending court date in January for two counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle was charged with breaking into a residence Monday afternoon, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Major Anzell M. Harris said Sergeant P. Rackley responded to a call on Tabron School Road which central communications described as a breaking and entering with an assault.

During the investigation Rackley determined that around 4 p.m. Nancy Catalina Escobar, 26, had made entry into the residence with the intent to assault the victim.
Rackley arrested and charged Escobar with breaking and entering to terrorize/injure and simple assault.
Escobar repeatedly hit and punched the victim about the body, Harris said.
She received a November 20 district court date and was jailed without the opportunity for bond.
She has a January 23 district court date for two counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Those counts were lodged in March of last year.
