Breaking and entering

Investigation into an August 5 breaking and entering on Wind Chase Lane led to the arrest Tuesday of a man found hiding behind a mattress in a closet.

Fadrian Reid, 23, was identified as the person that broke into his aunt’s residence.

Sergeant C. Sherrod obtained warrants on Reid for misdemeanor breaking and entering and several attempts were made to locate him.

On Monday Sherrod responded to the same residence of the August 5 crime and Reid was identified in that case. Sherrod this time obtained warrants on Reid for felony breaking and or entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering.

On Tuesday Sherrod with assistance from other patrol deputies and detectives went to the area of Wind Chase Lane to attempt to locate Reid. They found him at a residence in the 100 block hiding in the closet.

While being placed in the patrol vehicle Reid resisted by attempting to run from deputies. Corporal D. Williams charged Reid with resisting a public officer.

Reid was served with the breaking and entering warrants that Sherrod had obtained, served with two outstanding orders for arrest, domestic violence protection order violation and resisting.

Reid received multiple bonds on several charges including no bond and several court dates which include September 10 and October 2.
