Roanoke Rapids police Chief Guyant reported a shooting in which two people were injured.
The shooting occurred in the 700 block of Washington Street around 11:30 this morning.
One person is in custody and the two people injured were taken to ECU North. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
There was no further information available as of this report.
Guyant said further details will be released.
