Roseburg Forest Products’ Roanoke Valley Lumber has officially opened hiring opportunities for more than 30 positions at its brand-new lumber mill in Weldon.
The new 375,000-square-foot, high-capacity dimensional lumber mill is set to open later this year.

Available, full-time positions include operations technician and maintenance technician. Operations technicians will be responsible for the daily operation of the lumber manufacturing process and equipment, while maintenance technicians will be hired to safely and effectively perform precision maintenance and repairs.
Total annual compensation for each position starts at $55,600 and $62,550. Total annual compensation packages include annual base salary, full family medical and dental insurance, three weeks’ vacation, 11 paid holidays, 401(k) with company match, short-term disability, life insurance, and tuition assistance.
