Three people face methamphetamine and other drug charges following a raid Wednesday night on Whitaker Street in Roanoke Rapids, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

Another man at the residence was arrested as a probation absconder.

Sergeant A. Holland, C-squad deputies and assistance from the HCSO narcotics unit and Roanoke Rapids police seized 24.2 grams of meth, 1.8 grams of fentanyl, 73 dosage units of Gabapentin, 6 grams of marijuana, scales, paraphernalia, and a .25-caliber handgun.

Lieutenant Shane Guyant said law enforcement has received numerous complaints of drug activity at the location. The investigation led to a search warrant which was executed Wednesday evening.

Charged following the raid were:

Michael Lawrence Fahey, 33, of Roanoke Rapids, who faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II, possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule I, possession of schedule VI, maintaining a dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

He received a $15,000 bond Friday court date.

Charles Owen Pearson, 60, of Roanoke Rapids, who faces the same charges as Fahey and received the same bond and court date.

Samantha Ramey Drake, 32, of Emporia, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

She received a $4,000 bond and Friday court date.

Michael Anthony Carter, 38, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested after it was learned that he was wanted by North Carolina Probation and Parole for being an absconder. 

Carter received a $5,000 bond and February 14 court date.
