Two Bertie County men wanted by the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office in breaking and entering cases in the Conway area are in custody.

Captain Patrick Jacobs said Jailk Lassiter of Windsor was arrested by the Ahoskie Police Department on August 13 on related breaking and entering charges.

According to the state court calendar, he is scheduled to appear in Hertford County Superior Court on August 29 on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, felony breaking and entering and safecracking counts.

Jacobs said he received a $27,000 secured bond on the Northampton counts and was also served two outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear in court in Bertie County. He received a $100,000 cash bond for the outstanding orders. He was scheduled to appear in Northampton County District Court today.

Dejounte Vinson of Kelford surrendered to the sheriff’s office on August 12 and was served outstanding warrants for breaking and entering.

Sergeant A. Hargrave served the warrants, for which Vinson received a $12,000 secured bond.

He was scheduled to appear in district court today.

Jacobs said warrants are still active for Amonzia Spivey of Windsor.

The three men are wanted for a July 14 breaking and entering outside the Conway area as well as two other cases in the area which occurred on July 20.

In the July 20 break-ins a suspect vehicle was identified and later determined to be stolen.

That led to a chase into Bertie County. The vehicle was seized but the men eluded capture.
