A Garysburg man has a Thursday Northampton County District Court appearance after he was served warrants last week for removing a catalytic converter from a church van.

Captain Patrick Jacobs of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office said Lieutenant A. Collier served the outstanding warrants to 33-year-old Jacob Davis on August 11.

The warrants were based on an investigation that began on March 20 of last year after the sheriff’s office received a report of the converter being removed.

Collier developed evidence leading to identification of Davis, who faces charges of larceny of motor vehicle parts, possession of stolen goods, and injury to personal property.

He received a $4,000 secured bond.
