The Pregnancy Support Center of Roanoke Rapids will hold its annual Walk for Life on July 11 using a virtual format this year in light of the social distancing and limitations on mass gatherings associated with the novel coronavirus.
This will allow participants to still raise funds for the organization by walking in a place of the participant’s own choosing.
After the walk participants can take a photo or video and tag the center on social media using its Friends of Pregnancy Support Center Facebook page or by using the hashtag @RRPregnancyCenter
Pledges for the walk can be solicited by raising funds online, or handwritten pledge forms through phone, email, text or social media.
Pledges of $200 or more will earn a T-shirt. Sponsors who donate $250 or more will have their logo placed on the fundraising page and on the back of the Walk for Life T-shirts.
The cash or checks collected can be brought to the center on July 11. The center is located at 1021 Roanoke Avenue in Roanoke Rapids. The center will have the T-shirts available at that time.
Those who can’t make it on July 11 can mail pledge sheets, checks and other materials to Pregnancy Support Center, PO Box 1630, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 or drop them by the center during business hours.

How will my sponsor donations be used?
All funds raised at the Walk for Life benefit the work of the Pregnancy Support Center of Roanoke Rapids to value life and transform lives.
Be sure to let your sponsors know their donation is tax-deductible.
Who should I ask to sponsor me?
We bet you know more people than you think! Don’t forget to ask family and friends who live out of town! Using your social media can also be a powerful tool. Go to the Walk For Life page and make your own fundraising page to share. If you prefer paper, please let us know and we will email or mail your forms.
How much does it cost to participate in the Walk?
There is no cost/fee for the Walk portion of the event. However since this is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Pregnancy Support Center, we encourage people to participate by raising funds or sponsoring themselves.
How do I turn in my fundraising?
You may drop off your pledge sheets and funds at the Pregnancy Support Center located at 1021 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 11
I can’t walk or run that day. Can I still participate?
Yes! You can still raise funds and walk in your own neighborhood at any time.
How do I get this year’s cool Walk+Run T-Shirt?
Everyone who raises at least $200 will earn this year’s shirt! All PSC volunteers and will also receive this year’s shirt as a thank you.
