The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following drug arrests, according to Captain A.M. Harris:
Monday shortly before 5 p.m., deputies responded to assist the North Carolina State Highway Patrol with a possible domestic call near Interstate 95 and Highway 125.
During the encounter with one of the occupants, a crack pipe and crack cocaine was seized.
Agent D.K. Newsome arrested and charged Thomas Shane Allen, 24, of Emporia, Virginia, with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Allen received a $1,000 bond with a March 18 court date.
Patrol Sergeant A. Cash and Trooper H. Wheeler assisted.
Monday shortly after 9 a.m., Lieutenant C. Emerson Carroll stopped a vehicle for a violation on Interstate 95 near mile marker 164.
During the search of the car marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia was seized.
Carroll cited Joslyn Curry, 28, of Georgia with a North Carolina Uniform Citation for possessing one-half ounce or less of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Curry received an April 13 court date.
