The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person who passed 10, counterfeit $50 bills at a Roanoke Rapids area business last week.

Detective Matt Brown said the bills were passed at a business in the Bolling Road area.
He said it is not clear whether the person is local.
Chief Deputy Scott Hall said in a statement the crime occurred January 23.
