A Weldon man wanted in 11 break-ins from Halifax to Enfield was arrested Wednesday by the City County Drug Task Force.

Task force Captain Anzell Harris said Winston Hendricks, 25, was located as agents looked for an absconder in the Weldon area. “We happened to go by his residence and he was home hiding behind the door.”

Detective D.C. Dickens of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Agent D.R. Radford arrested Hendricks on his outstanding warrants.

Hendricks received a $36,000 bond and he is next scheduled to appear in court January 27.
