A 17-year-old Littleton boy was charged Thursday in an October 2 sex offense against a minor child.

Detective Willie Murphy Jr. of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office charged Deandre Daquan Davis with indecent liberties with a child. The victim was under the age of 13, he said.

Murphy called the crime one of opportunity where Davis allegedly committed sexual acts against the juvenile victim.

He was arrested shortly before 5 p.m. without trouble and received a $5,000 bond and November 4 court date.
