A man caught on surveillance cameras reportedly stealing a water hose from an elderly victim in Weldon surrendered to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office last week.
Major Scott Hall said Marvin Scott, 23, of Halifax, saw his photo on social media and news outlets and went to the sheriff's office, where he surrendered to Deputy Josh Langley on July 20.
Hall said Scott reportedly sold the water hose.
He was charged with larceny and awaits an August 19 court date.
