The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is looking for a dark colored compact car in connection with an Enfield area home invasion that left one victim dead and three others wounded.

Sheriff Wes Tripp said the home invasion occurred in the Heathsville Road area close to Enfield. He said robbery is the motive.

There are no suspect descriptions at this time and Tripp declined further elaboration other than to say detectives have persons of interest.

Julius Lee Brinson was shot and killed. Two victims were treated and released, while another was airlifted to a trauma center.

The sheriff said in an earlier statement this morning the suspects forcefully entered the home while armed and shot the victims.
