The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men who robbed the West Tenth Street Subway Friday night.
Sheriff Wes Tripp said deputies responded to the restaurant shortly after 10:30 p.m..
Two employees were working when two men entered armed with handguns and demanded money. They left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
One man is described as standing 5-feet, 6-inches tall and the other 5-feet, 10-inches tall. Both wore black jeans, black masks, black gloves and blue hooded jackets.
It is not immediately clear whether this robbery could be related to one last Friday at the nearby Dollar General store. “Anything is possible at this point,” Tripp said this morning, “and it is in the same area. We would encourage citizens to be aware of their surroundings and always be cautious and observant.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
