A woman wanted for allegedly pawning rented items was apprehended Monday in the Three Bridges Road area of Roanoke Rapids.
Detective Obert Wiltsie of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said numerous people called in to give assistance and information on the location of Jennifer Bowers when it was first reported last week she was wanted.
She was arrested around 1:30 p.m. without incident.
She was jailed on $9,000 bond and faces charges of three counts of identity theft, three counts of worthless checks, one count of obtaining property by false pretense, one count of fail to return rental property and an order for arrest from Northampton County for a worthless check.
She has court dates of August 13 and August 24.
