A Rocky Mount man was arrested today for June 27 attempted break-ins at a residence and shop on Highway 481 in Halifax.
Terence Terrell Johnson, 22, was arrested on warrants that resulted from an initial investigation by Halifax County Sheriff's Office Deputy J. Keeter.
Detectives Chris Scott and Obert Wiltsie continued the investigation and Johnson was arrested in Rocky Mount. He was brought to the magistrates office and charged with two counts of attempting to break and enter a building, two counts of trespassing and one count of resisting a public officer. The last charge stems from him giving fictitious information to law enforcement in the initial investigation, Wiltsie said.
He was jailed on $15,000 bond and has an August 13 court date.
