Tips and published media reports have led to the identification of a man who reportedly walked out of Walmart with three window air conditioning units earlier this month.

Roanoke Rapids police Detective Bobby Martin said Edwin R. Branch, 30, is still at large, but warrants have been filed for his arrest on charges of larceny and possession of stolen goods.

He is from Weldon.

Martin has charged him with credit card theft in the past and he is currently awaiting a September 10 court date on misdemeanor larceny charges.
