A man arrested last week for allegedly having 31 grams of marijuana on him following an Interstate 95 traffic stop was charged today with possession of a stolen gun.

Captain Chuck Hasty of the Northampton County Sheriff's Office said further investigation into the case by Investigator Courtney Williams revealed a gun found in the search following the stop came back as stolen.

Fatar Weems of Snow Hill was given a $66,000 bond on that charge.

Weems, 21, was initially charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana; felony possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.
