The Halifax 4-H Rural Life Center has announced its summer camp schedule for 2014.
All camps are $55 and signup can be done through the center's website.
The camps are for children 6 through 14.
“One highlight for this summer is The Arts Camp,” said Joe Long of the county Cooperative Extension Service. “We have certified art Teachers and a certified music teacher coming to help lead this camp so the campers will come away with a lot of skills and an appreciation for the arts.”
There will also be a field trip to the Nauticus Museum and the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center in Norfolk, during the Castaway Camp. “One last highlight to talk about is our 4-H Exploris Camp where we will be looking at our environment and the campers will get to create their own biosphere and take it home to explore for months after camp. This is going to be a great summer and one that our youth will certainly enjoy and learn from.”
