Roanoke Rapids police are looking for a woman who passed a note at Roanoke Rapids Savings Bank Wednesday afternoon demanding money.

She then fled on foot after a teller complied with the undisclosed demands contained in the note. She traveled south into the woods with a undisclosed amount of money.

Captain Andy Jackson said the woman was of unknown race, but had a light complexion, and wore a baseball cap.

She is believed to have brown, curly hair, and wore glasses. She also wore a dark-colored jacket, and wore blue pants, possibly blue jeans.

Jackson said it is unclear whether she may have caught a ride.
