There was no love Valentine's night for two Roanoke Rapids men, only bondage in handcuffs after they were arrested on marijuana charges following a traffic stop on West Tenth Street.
Major Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that around 11:45 p.m. Deputy Josh Langley stopped a 1998 Nissan near Ransome Street for an insurance violation.

Reed
The deputy identified the driver as William Nordin Reed III, 37, while further investigation led to his arrest for outstanding warrants out of Wake County.
While speaking to the passenger, Richard Rondell Boone, 26, Langley reportedly noticed marijuana in the floorboard.
The deputy seized more than 50 grams of marijuana, and an empty pill bottle with marijuana residue in it.
In addition to the outstanding orders for arrest, Reed was charged with felony possession of schedule VI, felony maintaining a vehicle for storing a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $12,500 secured bond.

Boone
Boone was charged with felony possession of schedule VI, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $5,000 secured bond.
Both men have March 5 court dates.
