Erratic driving on Highway 158 last week resulted in the arrests of three men on drug and gun violations, Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp reported.

Last Monday around 11:30 p.m., Deputy Emerson Carroll stopped a 1998 Buick for traveling left of the center lane near London Church Road.

Carroll determined the driver, later identified as Antonio Maurice Story, 28, was allegedly driving on a revoked license after giving the deputy a fake name.

Continued investigation yielded outstanding warrants for another passenger and a third was found to allegedly be in possession of illegal narcotics.

Deputies discovered a handgun hidden behind the glove compartment during a search of the vehicle. The weapon was later determined to be stolen from a breaking and entering.

Carroll charged Antonio Story of Roanoke Rapids with driving while license revoked, giving fictitious information to a law enforcement officer, possession of a stolen firearm, and carry a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $11,000 secured.

Andra Lamont Story, 23, of Roanoke Rapids was charged with failing to comply with a judgment order out of Rocky Mount, and possession of a stolen firearm. Bond was set at $10,255 secured.

Reginald R. Webb, 36, of Weldon was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $40,000 secured.
