The Northampton County Sheriff's Office is looking for a heavy duty tow truck that was stolen today from Redwine's off Highway 46.

The truck, a Peterbilt Model 379, was stolen sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., according to Sergeant J. Jenkins.

It was in an enclosed area, in which the culprits had to break in through a chain-linked fence. The ignition system to the truck is one in which the culprits would have to have intimate knowledge to start, Jenkins said.

It is burgundy and contains the Redwine's logo and a weighted license plate bearing AP 2037.
