The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Roanoke Rapids man after warrants were filed for his arrest in a Sunday morning shooting on Key Street.

This was the second of two shootings that occurred that morning in the Lincoln Heights community, but are unrelated, Major Scott Hall said. The nature of an argument that took place just before the shooting is unclear, he said.
Deputies arrived at Key Street around 6:30 a.m., responding to a shooting call.
They discovered the victim was shot in the leg and that he and Frederick Lee Holiday, 39, who is wanted, had an argument. The victim asked Holiday to leave, but Holiday allegedly came back and kicked in the rear door before shooting the victim in the leg.
The victim was transported to Halifax Regional Medical Center and the transferred to another facility.
He is listed in fair condition.
Anyone with information on Holiday's whereabouts is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
