A number of local schools will be operating on a two-hour delay Tuesday as record-breaking temperatures are expected overnight.
They include Roanoke Rapids, Weldon, Northampton, Cornerstone Christian, Hobgood Academy and KIPP.
As of this report, Halifax Academy will be operating on a normal schedule.
Halifax County schools are also on a two-hour delay.
