The 16-year-old boy wanted in a morning murder in Weldon has been taken into custody.

Hendricks
Dashawn Hendricks was en route to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office after he was located this afternoon and will be booked and charged in the murder of 20-year-old Sequon Starks, according to Sheriff Wes Tripp.
Hendricks is expected to be jailed without the opportunity for bond and will most likely have a first court appearance Monday.
Details of his arrest were not immediately available.
The murder, Tripp said earlier this afternoon, was apparently the result of an ongoing dispute between Hendricks and Starks.
The shooting, in which Starks later died, occurred around 3:30 this morning.
The sheriff's office responded to a shooting call at 1135 Elm Street and founds Starks had been shot once in the torso with a handgun. He was transported to to Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids where he was pronounced dead.
