The Roanoke Rapids Police Department will be consulting with the Halifax County District Attorney's Office to determine whether further charges will be filed against a woman who struck a man as he rode his scooter on Tenth Street in June.

Brad Denning died Tuesday night from injuries sustained in the collision.

Captain Andy Jackson of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said Johnelle Moore was charged with a safe movement violation in the crash and the consultation will determine if more charges should be filed. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's family,” he said.
