The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Amy Wells Bridgeman, who was reported missing June 29.

The last time her family heard from her was June 28 around 6:55 a.m., according to Lieutenant Rich Somogyi.

It is known that she went out with friends and her husband received a text message from her.

Other than saying the text gave no hint as to her location, Somogyi declined to discuss details of the message. “It didn’t say where she was. Her family wants to make sure she’s OK. There is no reason to suspect foul play. We just want her to confirm she is OK.”

Bridgeman, 42, has blue eyes and shoulder length hair that she often changes from black to brown.

She has fair skin and was last seen wearing a white shirt with four black stripes and Capri pants.

She takes medication daily and her family is concerned whether she has a supply with her.

Bridgeman lives in what Somogyi described as the Roanoke Rapids-Weldon area because she has frequently moved between the two locations and could be in those locations.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Somogyi at 252-583-8301 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
