A second person was arrested for firearms charges in an ongoing investigation by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Detective O.L. Wiltsie said the arrest of Lacy Byrum, 48, of Roanoke Rapids, is linked to the same investigation that landed Jermaine Jones in jail on the same charges.
Byrum faces two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and was given a $10,000 bond.
He has a January 30 court date.
